At Lusso, the whole property and grounds are entirely yours during your stay. Guests are able to self check-in via a lockbox and these instructions will be sent prior to your arrival.

If there is anything you should need help with during your stay, we are around and happy to assist.

Other things to note
Please note that due to the staircase and style of property, Lusso is not set up for young children. We also do not cater for furry friends as the property is not securely fenced and is home to native wildlife, including some bunny rabbits that pop into the backyard from time to time.

We have four bikes that guests are welcome to use. While they are a great way to get short distances, best not to plan on taking them off-road.

On site there is car-parking for four cars and plenty of additional street parking. While Lusso only caters for 8 guests we love hosting bridal parties. Please just get in touch with us if you think we are the right fit..

Ever wondered what it would be like to have a winery in your backyard?

Stroll through the back gate to Dal Zotto’s, wander down to the Mountain View Hotel or simply enjoy la casa. Draped in ornamental vines with its traditional tobacco kiln entrance, Lusso elegantly weaves the history of the area with the story of now. On a site that was once an old boarding house, Lusso (meaning luxury in Italian) offers all the comforts you need to naturally gather and share stories like those before you.

The space
Lusso sits right in the middle of the charming little town of Whitfield (Australia’s home of prosecco). Whilst perfectly located for exploring on foot or by bike, Lusso becomes your own private sanctuary when arriving home.

On entrance, you’ll feel a sense of space and calm with the vast and character filled flow of materials leading toward a high lofted ceiling and floating staircase. With a double-sided gas log fireplace and two-storey brick chimney at the centre of the space, guests have endless options to gather.

Stargaze by the firepit (the High Country offers some of the darkest and best skies for this in Australia). Enjoy a wine you picked up at your new favourite winery on the deck or sit back with a cuppa in hand and get caught up in birdsong. The birdlife is quite incredible! Perhaps you’d prefer to congregate around the full-sized kitchen, with everything you could need to cook up a storm using some local produce (and if the fig, pear or orange trees are in season then feel free to add some to your dish or grazing board!)

The three king sized bedrooms provide you with a more modern boarding house feel with luxurious bedding, ceiling fans and split systems. You’ll feel adequately comfortable and rested. Logistically, one bedroom and one bathroom (that can act as an ensuite) are located on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find the two remaining bedrooms (one with a king bed, and the other two singles) and a large bathroom. From both, you will overlook Dal Zotto’s vineyard.

The space is ideal for groups of up to 6 (or 8 with use of the sofa off the living room). The ground level also works beautifully for a couple.

Choose to completely surrender to the slower pace of the Valley with a selection of books, board games, finska, or conversations around the firepit with marshmallows and local firewood provided. Or if staying connected is important to you then we have unlimited wifi and a smart tv.

Whether you’re looking to holiday with the family, get the girl’s weekend out of the group chat or explore a beautiful part of Victoria with a loved one then we have you covered.

Nearby wineries and breweries include Chrismont, Dal Zotto, Darling Estate, Gracebrook, King River Estate, King River Brewing, Pizzini, Politini, Red Feet and a little further on Brown Brothers, John Gehrig and Sam Miranda.
